Wow, I know I must sound like a broken record...but my does the time fly when you are having fun! I can hardly believe we have less than one month until Kendall's First Birthday! I'm sure you all are wondering if you don't already know, yes Kendall has taken her first steps! She is up to about 7 steps now before she sits down, but soon she will be running all over the place! Her vocabulary has also quickly expanded as well! She now says "done" (and pushes your hand away when she is done eating) "what's that" (whassat), and a lot of other things I can't remember right now because I'm SOOO tired! While saying "whassat" she is pointing her little index finger, it is the most adorable thing ever! We are gearing up for Easter, I am so excited! I can't wait to get her basket together, and take her to the Easter Egg Hunt at the Zoo, it's going to be so much fun! We enrolled Kendall in a class at "The Little Gym". It is the "Birds" class for 10-18 month olds, and is a blast! It's a great chance for her to interact with other babies close to her age, especially since she gets to stay home with us and not go to daycare. Check back soon for the First Birthday Countdown!!!!

Happy New Year
Well I thought I was going to be able to keep up with this blog but the time sure got away from me! I cannot believe that it is already January! Kendall had her 9-month check up last week, and she is doing great! She weighed in at 18lbs. 10oz! What happened to my lil' peanut? I know it's not huge but she isn't below 50% anymore, wooohoooo!! She is crawling now...and giving Shaun and I a run for our money! She will be walking soon, I'm guessing before her 1st birthday! She is pulling her self up on the furniture, and cruising around it...and now and then she will let go and stand by herself. The longest time she has stood alone so far is 30 seconds! Once she realizes what's going on, she gets scared and sits down, it's so cute! The tooth count is at four, with two more on their way shortly...they are just taking their time...much to the dismay of Kendall's scheduled nap!! (If naps could be dismayed of course!) Her vocabulary is growing everyday. We've really noticed an increase this past week. She says Hi (Hi), Dahdah and Dah-dee (Daddy), Lahnah & Nahnah (Mama), KeyKey (kitty), Dahdgee (doggy), Duh-kee (ducky), No (No), Ashth (Ashley), and she knows the sign language for the words "Milk", and "Ball". She's such smart little thing, we couldn't be more proud! Her first Christmas was VERY eventful. It was up at my Dad's this year, and he had a full house! She had her cousins to play with, and lots of love from aunts, uncles, and grandparents! She also received many, many gifts! But, as with most babies, had more fun with the wrapping paper and boxes! Kendall is eating all sorts of different foods now. For instance, she had a grilled cheese sandwich (cut up into tiny pieces of course) for dinner, we went out to chinese the other night and I gave her some of my chicken and soft noodles. She drinks out of a cup with a straw...and we've started weaning her from the bottle! Granted it's only one...maybe two bottles a day we have replaced with the cup, but she is only 9 months old! She just doesn't seem so interested in bottles much anymore, so I figured I'd give it a try! She LOVES animals. The kitty of course is her favorite, and it is unfortunate that he isn't such a big fan of hers! She climbs all over the dogs, and they just love it! They are so sweet to her. They have also figured out that when it's time for Kendall's bath, it's treat time for them! The wander into the kitchen and clean up the floor around her high chair. Not only that, they eat all the leftovers that fell into her chair too! It's hilarious! Shelby was confused when we went out to dinner the other night and she went in for her nightly treat and there was NOTHING! Poor girl. But at least they are earning their keep around here by helping keep the kitchen floor clean! Anyway...I am so amazed at how quickly the time is going by. It is so very bittersweet, but I hope these blogs and the thousands of pictures I have so far, will make it easier to go back...
